Foreword for the special issue of the journal Különbség (Difference). This issue intends to reconsider certain interpretative patterns regarding the distinction between soul and body by emphasising their union in Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Pascal, Hobbes, Locke and other philosophers of the early modern age.
